Who We Are
Tara-J Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to making quality education accessible to underprivileged children across Nepal. We focus exclusively on supporting children from low-income families who struggle to afford basic schooling.
Our Story
Tara-J Foundation was born from a simple yet powerful belief — that no child should be deprived of education simply because their family cannot afford it. It all started when we noticed that many of our hotel employees, despite working hard, were unable to pay for their children’s education. Seeing these talented and hardworking children at risk of dropping out of school due to financial hardship deeply moved us. What began as a small initiative to support the children of our own employees has now grown into a dedicated foundation focused entirely on children’s education
What We Do
We identify bright students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and fully sponsor their education. This includes covering admission fees, monthly tuition, books, uniforms, and other school-related expenses. Our support ensures these children can attend school regularly and focus on learning
Why We Do It
We believe education is a fundamental right of every child, not a privilege. When children are denied education due to financial hardship, their future opportunities are lost. We are committed to breaking this cycle and build a stronger, more educated generation for Nepal.
Our Impact
Every child we support stays in school, performs better academically, and begins to dream bigger for their future. By removing the financial burden of education, we give children the stability and opportunity they need to focus on learning and grow with confidence. Through our sponsorship program, we are helping to break the cycle of financial hardship, one child at a time.
